BCC Live Broadcasts 2026 Lauf Gravel Worlds Pro Race and Debuts SBot Labs Tracking Technology

BCC Live produced the 2026 Lauf Gravel Worlds Professional 150-mile race in Lincoln, Nebraska, combining onsite motorcycle and studio crews with remote production support from Boulder. The broadcast aired on Outside TV and YouTube, featuring coverage of the professional men’s and women’s fields.

The event also marked the live-production debut of SBot Labs’ iOS and web tools, which track camera operators in real time and support live split times and automated graphics such as maps, elevation profiles, and course data.

On Saturday, August 22, the BCC Live team was in Lincoln, Nebraska to broadcast the 2026 Lauf Gravel Worlds Professional 150-mile gravel race. The event brought world-class gravel racing to a demanding course and gave fans watching on Outside TV and YouTube a live view of the action from the front of the race to the chase groups behind.

The professional race broadcast was hosted by Peter Stetina and Lauren Hall, with on-course commentary from Leni Carillo and Amanda Nauman-Sheek. BCC Live’s onsite crew included eight team members working across motorcycles, course coverage, and the studio at the Sandhills Global Event Center.

To follow the men’s and women’s professional categories, BCC Live deployed lead and chase camera operators on the back of motorcycles for each field. Two additional camera operators worked alongside the on-course commentators, while two more BCC Live team members ran the show from the onsite studio.

Behind the scenes, another four-person BCC Live team supported the broadcast from Boulder, handling graphics, replay, and TriCaster operations. Together, the onsite and remote crews delivered the live production workflow needed to bring the 150-mile gravel race to viewers across Outside TV and YouTube.

Gravel Worlds also marked the debut of BCC Live’s SBot Labs iOS app in a live production environment. The app allows the production team to track camera operators in real time as they ride beside the lead and chase groups, giving the broadcast team the data needed to provide constant, live split times to the audience.

The SBot Labs web interface uses that same real-time data to help display and auto-configure live graphics, including a mini-map, elevation scope, compass, and course profile. In many production workflows, these types of graphics require manual creation, data mapping, and validation before they can go on air. SBot Labs is designed to simplify that process while keeping the graphics connected to the live reality of the race.

Within the SBot Labs web or iOS app, assigning a particular athlete’s data to a graphic overlay is as simple as selecting the parallel moto driver from a dropdown. That means high-end, data-driven graphics can be configured by downloading the app, choosing a preferred color scheme, selecting the correct transmitter, and putting the graphics on air.

For BCC Live, Gravel Worlds was both a major live broadcast and an important step forward in how our team supports endurance sports coverage. By combining experienced camera crews, commentators, onsite and remote production staff, and new SBot Labs tools, we were able to bring viewers closer to the race while continuing to improve the technology behind our broadcasts.
