BCC Live supported two successful IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship broadcasts from Nice, France on September 12 (women) and September 13 (men), combining an onsite studio and field team with a heavy lift from Boulder, CO to deliver live coverage and replays across a global network of outlets.
The weekends also pushed our production toolkit forward: a new YouTube MultiView experience for fans, Kiloview and LiveU Nexus infrastructure behind the scenes, and SBot Labs callout graphics tied to real-time Sports Stats data and historical athlete performance.
Onsite in Nice

Two BCC Live teammates were on the ground in Nice to run the onsite studio. Hosts for the women’s day were Mirinda Carfrae, Will McCloy, and Daniela Ryf. For the men’s day, the commentators were Mirinda Carfrae and Will McCloy were joined by Craig Alexander. James Cunnama and Laura Siddall reported from the field across both races.
That onsite presence kept the studio conversation and course reporting connected to what was happening on the Côte d’Azur, while the broader live production workflow ran with support from our team in Boulder.

YouTube MultiView for race day
Nice also featured a new YouTube MultiView experience—similar to the MultiView feature that debuted at Coachella 2026—so viewers could watch from one of three independent camera ISOs or stay on the main English feed.

That kind of choice only works if the underlying feeds are stable and selectable. Getting there took a big effort behind the scenes in Boulder—plenty of testing, and plenty of in-the-trenches fixes once we were live.
Boulder: Kiloview E3 and LiveU Nexus
Much of that backbone ran through our new Kiloview E3 encoders and LiveU Nexus. Together they helped us manage and move the streams that powered both the traditional program feeds and the MultiView camera paths fans could choose on YouTube.
World Championship weekends rarely go exactly as drawn on the whiteboard. The combination of new encoding hardware, LiveU Nexus management, and a MultiView product debut meant our Boulder crew spent race weekend solving problems in real time so the onsite hosts and field reporters could stay focused on the story of the race.
SBot Labs graphics with Sports Stats
We also used SBot Labs for live callout graphics connected to real-time data from Sportstats and historical athlete data. That let us put statistics on air such as an athlete’s historical performance across swim, bike, and run legs on IRONMAN 70.3 courses in the IRONMAN Pro Series, as well as current or average pace over each leg.
Since its debut, SBot Labs has added new “skin” and “material” features so production teams can customize the look and feel of graphical overlays—and prompt SBot to create brand-new custom looks in seconds. Nice was another chance to put that workflow into a World Championship environment: live data, athlete context, and graphics that can match the show without a long manual rebuild.
Two race days, one production story
For BCC Live, the 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice was both a major live broadcast assignment and another step in how we support endurance sports coverage—from studio hosts and field reporters on site, to a global distribution footprint, to MultiView viewing options and data-driven graphics powered by SBot Labs.
